HIV Results
Negative
Your test did not show HIV.
If you were exposed recently (within 2–6 weeks), you may need to retest to be sure.
Positive
Your test showed HIV is present.
HIV is treatable, and with medication most people live long, healthy lives.
We will help you get confirmatory testing and connect you to care right away.
Syphilis Results
Negative
No signs of syphilis were found in your test.
Positive
You have syphilis or have had it in the past.
Syphilis is curable with antibiotics.
You’ll receive treatment and follow-up testing to make sure the infection clears.
Hepatitis C (Hep-C) Results
Negative
No Hepatitis C was found.
Positive
You have been exposed to Hepatitis C.
A second test is needed to see if the infection is current.
If it is, Hep-C is curable with medication.
Gonorrhea Results
Negative
No gonorrhea infection was found.
Positive
You have gonorrhea.
It is easily treatable with medicine.
You should avoid sex until treatment is done and encourage partners to get tested.
Chlamydia Results
Negative
Your test did not detect chlamydia.
Positive
You have chlamydia.
It is very common and very treatable.
Take medication as prescribed and avoid sex until you are cleared.
