Quality Comprehensive Health Center Awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services
CHARLOTTE, NC – Quality Comprehensive Health Center (QCHC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit medical practice proudly serving the Historic West End of Charlotte, has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation. This prestigious Gold Seal is a nationally recognized symbol of quality and reflects QCHC’s unwavering commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care.
QCHC underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site review by The Joint Commission. During the visit, a commission representative evaluated the organization’s compliance with Behavioral Health Care and Human Services standards in several key areas, including:
Commitment to Quality Standards
Caring for Our People Standards
Mission-Guided Operations
Member-Focused Care
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals, scientific researchers, and patient advocates. These evidence-based standards are designed to help organizations improve performance and deliver consistent, person-centered care. The accreditation process also included thorough onsite observations and staff interviews.
“At Quality Comprehensive Health Center, our commitment to high standards—like those set by The Joint Commission—demonstrates our dedication to creating a safe, supportive, and healing environment for individuals receiving behavioral health and case management services,” said Dr. Ra’Shawn D. Flournoy, CEO of QCHC. “These standards push us to deliver care that is not only clinically effective but deeply compassionate. We are proud to provide comprehensive, wraparound services that families can trust and that truly change lives.”
In preparation for this accreditation, QCHC strengthened its systems and processes by implementing enhanced safety protocols, investing in highly trained and compassionate staff, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and structuring operations to prioritize personalized, outcomes-focused care.
